Phyllophaga (n) - a very large genus of New World scarab beetles. Common names for this genus are May beetles, June bugs, and June beetles.

This print is inspired by antiquarian beetle collections - taking care to record and preserve everything from sacred scarab beetles to bright june bugs, this print features acid green beetles against a vivid pink watercolour background. Each beetle has been hand painted in watercolour before being digitally printed in the UK onto shimmering, lightweight pure silk satin.
